Happy Goats Farm

Our Story

Sunrise
Happy Goats Farm is a joyful, loving, vibrant space that fosters community through creative workshops and events that reconnect us to nature, ourselves, each other, and spirit.
We are a safe and inclusive space where we all can join together working, creating, and inspiring each other exchanging ideas and skills through shared experiences. It is a place to explore your creativity, hidden talents, expand your skills, connect, and recharge.
We are grounded in our belief and naturally felt sense that we are all interconnected with eachother and the earth, and consequently responsible for being of service and giving the best of ourselves to the world. This commitment to service, harmony, and unity runs through all our ever evolving creative undertakings which share a life affirming message of hope, love, and the possibilities for personal change and collective transformation. We welcome visiting groups with similar interests. Please contact us for programming.
The Land
The farm is located on what it was originally Lenape territory. We bought the farmhouse in 2020 just as the pandemic started and began the process of gutting and renovating the house. Bringing back the property, which was in total disrepair, has been a labor of love that is still going on today. Yeap, work in the farm is never finished! Originally built in 1804, the farm included most of the land that surrounds it, roughly 80-100 acres. In the present moment, the farmhouse stands in 2.2 acres with most of the land around it being protected by the county.
Our Animals
With the help of a good farmer friend, we began to get animals and grow our family of four legged and two winged kids. We currently have goats, ducks, turkeys, geese, chickens, cats and dogs, and boy do they keep us busy! Hey, did I mention that work in the farm is never done?! Hard work by your own hands has its own rewards. The place is a piece of paradise on earth, with the ever playful going ons of the flock and the most spectacular colorful sunsets. Two small organic vegetable gardens yield crops of strawberries, garlic, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, basil, cucumbers, squash, peaches, and other seasonal veggies. There's ample space and several seating areas. Silence and tranquility are abundant, and in the back of the property you can meditate or read by the statue of Guanyin, the Buddha of compassion, and no, we're not buddhists either.
